ESP® drastically reduces accident statistics and thus makes a considerable contribution towards increasing road safety. This is the conclusion of a large number of international studies by well-known automobile manufacturers and institutes which have tested the effectiveness of ESP® in reducing accidents.

These studies prove that at least 40 percent of all fatal road accidents are caused by skidding. Around 80 percent of all skid accidents could be prevented by ESP®.
